Pokemon Go on Android 7.0

The Android 7.0 (Nougat) update was released last night for Nexus 5X, which contains a bunch of quality of life improvements. I thought that you guys would be interested in seeing how those improvements affect Pokemon Go.

To summarize, Android 7.0 doesn't really make a visible difference in the game. It runs a little faster and it's easier/faster to switch between apps, but that's about it. Even so, I was able to get 5 hours of gameplay out of my Nexus 5X today and I do like some of the new features - I don't use the others.

New stuff in Android 7.0 - Nougat

Multi-window support (for some apps)
Quick switch between apps
Vulkain API (better games)
Virtual Reality apps (not sure if this is compatible with the Nexus 5X)
Improved battery life
Custom quick settings
Better notifications
- you can now replay from your notifications in some cases
More emojis

Another thing that I noticed is that the phone ran much more smoothly while I was recording the screen. It also uploaded the footage much more quickly to YouTube when I finished. I'm not sure if that's directly related, but it was noticeably.

If you want to get your own Nexus 5X, you can pick it up  on Amazon.com (http://amzn.to/29PZwch) and they have Pokemon Go phone cases for the Nexus 5X!! http://amzn.to/2ahIocW
